Government question time in the German Bundestag No decisions without Ukraine’s involvement

In its fight against Russian aggression, Ukraine can still rely on Germany’s unwavering support, said Federal Chancellor Scholz during his visit to Kyiv. He also announced further arms deliveries to Ukraine.

Solidarity surcharge

The solidarity surcharge (Solidaritätszuschlag) is a surcharge on income tax and corporation tax, introduced to meet the costs of German unification. The surcharge is currently 5.5 percent.
