The Iraqi army has liberated the city of Mosul in northern Iraq from the terrorist organisation Islamic State. It was supported by the global anti-IS coalition. Germany will be continuing its engagement in the fields of humanitarian aid and in efforts to stabilise Iraq. Infrastructure must be rebuilt and prospects created for a better future.
