Under section 7 of the Act on the Establishment of a National Regulatory Control Council, the German Government submits to the German Bundestag an annual report on the progress made on bureaucracy reduction within the framework of existing targets, on the experience with the method applied to estimate compliance costs, on the development of compliance costs in the individual ministries as well as on results and further development in the sphere of better regulation.
