Government statement issued by the Federal Chancellor "We must not let anyone sew division among us"

In his government statement, Federal Chancellor Scholz referred to legislative changes adopted by the Federal Government to allow for better control of migration, more restrictive asylum law and a greater number of deportations. He also called for greater societal cohesion in Germany.

Remembrance and commemoration Never forget

The Auschwitz concentration and extermination camp was liberated 80 years ago. Federal Chancellor Scholz attended a memorial service on site, as well as other events. “We are compassionate, and we remember the victims,” the Federal Chancellor said, adding that “we will not allow them to be forgotten, neither today nor in the future”.
