Berlin, 04 December 2023: The week began with the second German-Brazilian intergovernmental consultations. The two countries will cooperate more closely in future – for example in the fight against climate change and to achieve the decarbonisation of industry.

Berlin, 07 December 2023: Lighting the Hanukkah menorah with Rabbi Yehuda Teichtal: the Federal Chancellor celebrated the start of the Hanukkah celebrations together with the Jewish community Chabad Berlin.
“This Hanukkah menorah belongs right here, in front of the Brandenburg Gate in the heart of our capital city!” said Scholz. He added that he was glad “that many citizens are also supporting the Jewish community both with words and with actions” and that it was important to “demonstrate sympathy and solidarity with our Jewish neighbours, friends and colleagues, especially these days.”
