The Cabinet has adopted the bill to strengthen children and youth.
On a dark red background the diagram is headed "Greater protection and more opportunities for children and young people". Below the heading is a symbol of a family inside a protective shield, and the following points:
- Better exchange of information among the youth welfare office, doctors and teachers
- More binding counselling for children, young people and parents
- Higher standards for children’s homes
- Young people in residential institutions to pay a smaller percentage of earnings to cover costs
- One-stop shop for assistance for children with and without disabilities
- Ombudsperson’s offices to be anchored in law
