In order to cushion the sharp rise in fuel prices as a result of the Iran-Middle East conflict, the coalition government has decided to reduce the energy tax on diesel and petrol by around 17 cents per litre of fuel for two months. The relief applies for May and June 2026.
The Federal Government is easing the burden on consumers and businesses when it comes to petrol prices.
