Washington D.C., 17.03.17: Donald Trump welcomed the Chancellor as she got out of her limousine.

Before their meeting Angela Merkel said in an interview, "I would first like to meet the President face to face. No telephone conversation can replace that."

On the agenda were also transatlantic relations, the G20 summit, trade policy and ongoing international conflicts.
