Berlin, 12 March 2019: Brexit was the main issue on the agenda of talks with Belgian Prime Minister Charles Michel on Tuesday.
"We want to have good relations. We want to see an orderly withdrawal," said Chancellor Angela Merkel with a view to the United Kingdom.
"The 27 EU member states have [...] once again made significant, far-reaching proposals that take into account the concerns of the United Kingdom and respond to these," stressed Angela Merkel at the press conference.
Berlin, 13 March 2019: On Wednesday the Cabinet met for its weekly meeting.
Shortly afterwards Angela Merkel received Lao Prime MinisterThongloun Sisoulith in the same room.
Although the two countries have maintained diplomatic relations for 60 years it was the first time a Lao Prime Minister had visited Germany.
Their talks covered development and economic issues, as well as regional cooperation.
Munich, 15 March 2019: On Friday the Chancellor attended the annual top-level meeting with representatives of German industry and business. The government aims to modify the environment to help respond to the challenges facing the sector, said Angela Merkel.
The Chancellor then visited the IHM international trade fair for craft trades.
