NATO will be responsible for press
work at the Summit. Media accreditation will also be the sole
responsibility of NATO.
NATO has published a
first announcement for the media. This announcement includes
information inter alia on accreditation, hotel accommodation and
contact persons.

In March, NATO will publish a second, updated announcement
for the media.
The International Media Centre (IMC) will be set up at
Strasbourg. It will be close to the "Palais de la Musique et des
Congrès", the conference venue for the North Atlantic
Council.
By way of precaution, we would like to draw particular
attention to two points:
- Accreditation will be provided by NATO only.
Once NATO's accreditation procedures have been completed, it will
not be possible to obtain fast-track accreditation through the
Press and Information Office of the Federal Government.
- The press pools for those parts of the Summit Meeting programme
taking place in Germany will also be assembled by NATO, and will be
based at the IMC in Strasbourg. These members of the media will be
provided with transport from the IMC to the venues for the
respective events. For security reasons this will be the only way
to access the venues.
