At the SDG Moment 2021, Federal Chancellor Angela Merkel called for every effort to be made to achieve the UN’s 17 global Sustainable Development Goals (“SDGs”). “It’s vital for us to secure the future of our planet and that of younger generations. This is something that should be a top priority for all of us – and we have the agenda for it,” said Merkel. See here for the full speech.
The SDG Moment was launched by the United Nations in 2020. It aims to highlight the importance of the 2030 Agenda and achievement of the global Sustainable Development Goals. It is conceived as a meeting of heads of state and government.
