Berlin, 06 September 2024: On Friday, the Federal Chancellor took a tour of the IFA exhibition grounds. He was accompanied by Berlin’s Mayor, Kai Wegner, and Senator for Economy Franziska Giffey.
In the afternoon, he met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky at Frankfurt Airport.
In the evening, the Federal Chancellor was awaited in Evian-les Bains on Lake Geneva by the President of France, Emmanuel Macron, for the German-French Business Meeting.
Germany and France are outstanding trade partners for each other in Europe. These meetings have taken place since 1992.
