28 guest nations in Germany and France
The two-day Summit will begin on April 3rd in Baden-Baden with a meeting of participants from the 28 member states. In line with tradition, the summit will kick off with a cultural event in the "Kurhaus", followed by a working dinner attended by the heads of state and government, and the foreign and defence ministers. This will give them their first opportunity to broach issues of security policy.On April 4th the programme will be continued in Strasbourg and Kehl. The focus will be on the meeting of the North Atlantic Council. The North Atlantic Council is NATO's key political decision-making body.
