Cabinet Fewer German troops in Afghanistan

The Afghan security forces are gradually assuming responsibility across the country. As a result, a maximum of 4,400 German soldiers will be deployed in Afghanistan in the coming year. By the end of February 2014, troop numbers are to be further reduced to 3,300. more
